I came to the United States of America as a Fulbright Scholar to do graduate studies. After finishing my doctoral degree in science, I started my career as a health specialist, wishing to improve human life.
In the summer of 2011, I had a revelation when I was invited to my cousin’s home for dinner. After the dinner, he served me a unique yogurt. Reminiscent of the Camel Milk yogurt I had as a child. I realized it was a simple key to good health! A simple secret that I had forgotten.
Here was an ancient product, with well-known traditional health benefits and GOOD FOR YOU credentials. There were tweaks to be made for the final product in order to obtain the creaminess, the sweetness, the tanginess, the fruitiness and the quality to make it the wholesome yogurt of my youth. After months of experimentation and cycles of reiteration, we came up with our Ziwa™ brand. Ziwa™ means a creamy, nutritious and tangy drinkable yogurt, loaded with probiotics!
